THE MARTIN BAKARI AWARD
FOR YOUNG PERFORMING ARTISTS

Martin Bakari Award: $1000
Maria Bakari Encouragement Award: $200

For current Yellow Springs High School students showing great promise in the performing arts. Awarded May 2024. 

Requirements: 
1. An essay of 300-500 words telling me about yourself, your goals and ambitions, what you would do with the award funds, a favorite artist, and what inspires you about the artist.
2. Videos recorded this school year of you performing two pieces of your choice (songs, monologues, dances, etc.).
